About
Build time ranges between 1 to 2 hours and it’s full of nostalgic flair. The cabinet opens up to reveal a small gaming setup, complete with joystick, buttons, a computer, and a couch — a compact but charming scene. It includes a working coin slot where LEGO coins can be inserted and returned, which adds a playful twist. The build mixes Technic elements with traditional bricks in a clever way to create stylized wiring and circuit-like parts, reinforcing the retro-tech aesthetic without visual gimmicks. Easter eggs include a mini junkbox referencing “Junkbot,” an online puzzle-platformer from LEGO.com in 2001, a Galaxy Explorer model on the shelves, the game Out Run playing on the TV, and a few old-school consoles.
Minifigure review
It comes with a single minifigure — a casual gamer holding a remote control — who fits neatly into the interior setup. The torso is exclusive and complements the mood of the build. It’s a simple minifigure, but works well thematically, adding a narrative touch to the set.
Box design
The box follows LEGO Store exclusive styling, with a yellow strip on the left side. The front features the arcade machine prominently, while the back reveals the detailed open interior. The packaging makes it clear this is an adult-focused collector’s piece, cleanly presented with emphasis on model detail.

Stickers
This set includes some stickers, but most visuals are printed directly onto the pieces — from the TV to consoles and side panels — which raises the premium feel of the final build.
So…

The LEGO 40805 Arcade Machine is a blend of nostalgia, smart design, and playful detail. The internal reveal, coin slot feature, and high-quality prints boost its overall value. While it’s more of a display piece than a playset, it delivers a satisfying build and standout visuals. Solid value for money aimed at adults and retro gaming fans. Since I’m a gamer myself I loved this pack personality-packed display model.
