About
The first thing that works is the stance, low, wide, and properly “hypercar” for an 8-wide build. LEGO did a strong job translating the front end and air intakes into small-scale shaping, and the rear has good readability too, with enough engine and diffuser language to avoid feeling like a simple block.
The feature that really adds life is the adjustable rear wing, it’s simple, but it adds play value without hurting the display look.

Minifigure review
The minifigure is a McLaren driver, wearing a team outfit, and it includes a helmet, a hair/wig piece, and a wrench. It’s a classic Speed Champions add-on, it gives the car context and looks great next to the build on display.

So…

77257 McLaren W1 is a very strong Speed Champions release, great shelf presence, good detail for the scale, and a functional rear wing that feels like a bonus rather than a forced gimmick. If you like modern supercars and the 8-wide format, it’s an easy pick at the standard price point.
