About
The build is quick, but it’s enjoyable because it combines three distinct mini sections with clear identity, the command tower, the platform and rail area, and the shuttle. Visually, it nails the Classic Space mood, blue and yellow, clean shaping, and that vintage space base feel, even at this tiny size. The standout feature is the rail system, it’s small, but it adds motion and makes the model feel like more than just “a little building”. That said, here’s the honest bit, some reviews mention the movement could be smoother, and a few areas feel a bit light on detail, especially when it comes to consoles and printed elements.
As a display piece, it works really well next to other micro space builds, it looks like it belongs to the same universe, the kind of desk diorama that instantly makes you want to expand it with MOCs.

Minifigure review
Here, the “minifigure” is a micro astronaut, and it can sit both in the shuttle and inside the tower. It’s not a traditional minifig, but it does exactly what it needs to do, it gives the build scale and story, a crew member at the controls and out on a mission.

So…

40786 Micro Command Centre is a small, nostalgic set that’s very easy to love if you’re into Classic Space. It shines more as a desk diorama than as a complex build, and the charm is in the theme and the micro format. If you’re picky about detail and printed parts, you’ll notice it could have gone further, but as a collector-style extra, it’s the kind of set that fits straight onto the shelf.
