About
The build starts with a Technic spine that locks the torso and hips, then closes with well-integrated panels that form the Samurai X armor with minimal gaps. Articulation at the hips, knees, shoulders, and wrists allows natural posing, two-handed sword raises, torso twists, and shield adjustments without sacrificing stability. At roughly 32 cm tall it dominates a shelf and handles play without sagging. A few caveats, the foot design limits extreme angles and you will want to recenter the weight when lifting the sword arm high. Beyond that, poseability is above average, and the visual read is clean, with touches like cabling on the back, shaped knees, and a fully enclosed cockpit.
Minifigure review
The character lineup is a standout, Samurai X Nya, Golden Jay, Master Wu, Oni Garmadon, Lil’ Nelson, General Pythor, The Mechanic, and a Vengestone Warrior. Several were exclusive at launch with Crystallized-era prints, offering strong hero-villain contrast and translucent accents for personality. For NINJAGO character collectors, this roster alone carries a lot of the set’s value.
Box design
The landscape box, about 48 × 37.8 × 7.1 cm, shows the mech in a hero pose on the front and, on the back, highlights features, poses, and the full minifigure lineup. The size comfortably houses longer elements and provides reliable protection for storage and transport.
Instruction manual
You get one manual with short steps and a clear numbered-bag flow. In digital form, LEGO Builder adds zoom and rotation, handy when closing torso panels and aligning arm and leg substructures. The progression is continuous and intuitive with no awkward page jumps.
Stickers
A small sticker sheet covers armor markings, signage, and chest detailing. Most placements are on tiles and flat areas, so alignment with tweezers is straightforward. Even if you skip a couple, the color scheme and key printed elements keep the model’s identity intact.
So…

As the Crystallized wave’s flagship mech, 71775 Nya’s Samurai X MECH blends shelf presence, capable articulation, and top-tier minifigures with a solid, satisfying build. It becomes an easy recommendation for mech and NINJAGO fans alike like me.
