Minifigure review

The lone driver (sc123) wears a dark-blue race suit with a bold Red Bull emblem but minimal sponsor detail. A dual-moulded F1 helmet—new for this wave—arrives in colour-matched blue with a printed bull; an alternate hairpiece and a confident, moustache-free face let you pose podium shots. It’s a tidy companion for the car, yet clearly an accent rather than a collector focal point.

About the

set

Six numbered bags deliver a brisk 30-45 minute build. A compact Technic spine locks in the front-wheel wishbones; System bricks then sculpt the skinny nose, side-pods and the RB20’s distinctive sloping fin, completed with two printed dark-blue wedges. Red Bull is the only car in the wave with a raised cockpit “scale plate” that the halo rests against, and a trans-yellow window piece cleverly doubles as the intake trim. New printed P-Zero slicks widen the stance, while a hinged halo and removable nose let you seat the driver or stage quick pit stops. Everything looks razor-sharp from shelf height, though some small panels are attached by just one or two studs, so vigorous play can send them flying.

Box design

2025 Speed Champions boxes trade black for white. A diagonal navy-blue slash and yellow accent echo the car’s livery; a hero render of the RB20 dominates the front, and the rear panel spotlights cockpit access, Pirelli-printed tyres and an in-set/real-car side-by-side. Slim, tab-sealed packaging keeps it peg-friendly while signalling “collect me” next to the other nine F1 sets.

Instruction manual

An 88-page stapled booklet follows the 2025 Speed Champions template: light-grey margins, dark build area, clear colour blocking and a progress bar. The intro covers Red Bull’s 2024 season and the RB20’s aerodynamic tweaks, while a QR code links to the LEGO Builder app for 3-D rotation. Sticker placements are shown 1:1, so even the tiny sponsor decals are easy to align.

Stickers

One medium sheet brings 30-plus sponsor decals—Oracle, Mobil 1, Tag Heuer and more. They’re fiddly on curved slopes, but without them the RB20 would look naked; only a couple of wedge slopes and the tyre sidewalls come printed.

So…

Fast to build, instantly recognisable and sized for any desk, 77243 nails the RB20’s aggressive lines and colours while fixing last year’s tyre-width gripe. If you can live with a sticker marathon and the occasional fragile plate, this set is a bull’s-eye for Speed Champions or modern-F1 fans alike.
