About
The build is solid and very satisfying, a Technic backbone underneath for rigidity, then layers of slopes and curves to capture the classic 911 profile. The Turbo stands out with its rear grilles and “whale tail,” plus side intakes for a more aggressive look. The Targa shines with the silver roll bar and a removable roof that stows in the front trunk for a more relaxed cruiser vibe. Inside you get tan and orange seats, reclining backs, handbrake, working steering, and nice radio and gear-lever details, a convincing cockpit for the scale. Doors and hood open, the front trunk has carpeting and a travel case, and the rear boxer engine reads well even if compact. The 2-in-1 option is real, not a token alt build, each version has unique front and rear sections. Switching from Turbo to Targa means dismantling large sections, which is normal for a true 2-in-1.
Box design
Classic 18+ black box, clean photography of the model, licensed Porsche branding, back of the box shows both Turbo and Targa plus close-ups. It is the Icons “design object” treatment that clearly signals an adult product and works as a premium gift.
Instruction manual
Coffee-table style manual, good paper weight, with an introduction covering the real 911, design notes, and Porsche history. Steps are clear, sub-assemblies well segmented, minimal confusing color adjacency, and the bag sequence is phased for each version so you do not get lost between Turbo and Targa. The build flows smoothly with no sub-assemblies crossing page turns.
So…

10295 nails the essentials, a recognisable silhouette, convincing interior, two distinct personalities in one set, and an engaging build for fans of engineering and well-resolved LEGO curves. If you value fidelity and shelf presence, it is a safe buy, if you want play features or minifigures, this is not the set. Even years after release, it remains one of the best LEGO takes on a classic road car, an excellent balance of price, building experience, and final result.
