Minifigure review

The set includes a single minifigure — a driver in a red "Porsche Track Day Experience" suit with a helmet. It's not particularly detailed but serves its purpose and fits the spirit of the theme. For the price point, it's what you'd expect. It adds a bit of personality to the set.

About the

set

The build is simple but enjoyable, taking about 30 to 45 minutes to complete. The model does a good job of capturing the silhouette of the 911 GT3 RS, including details like the rear wing, hood air intakes, and rims inspired by the real car. However, there are a few aspects that could be improved. The headlights, although printed (which is a plus), are set too far back and angled upward, making them appear too flat. The air intakes on the hood are very square, with sharp cuts that don’t quite convey the sleek flow of Porsche’s design language. These are small details, but at Speed Champions scale, they make a difference.

Box design

The packaging is compact and follows the Speed Champions style. The front shows the model in a dynamic pose, and the back highlights elements like the rear wing, air intakes, and rims. The box is larger than usual, with more depth and five numbered bags — more than we typically see in Speed Champions sets.

Stickers

There's a mix of printed parts and stickers. The rear lights are represented by a strip of red pieces, which looks great in my opinion, while the side details rely entirely on stickers — and this is one of the weaker aspects. Any misalignment affects the overall look, and in a theme that has made solid progress in recent years, it's still disappointing not to see printed side panels. The headlights are printed, yes, but as mentioned earlier, not well positioned.

The LEGO 77239 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a decent Speed Champions set. It captures the essence of the Porsche with some clever building techniques and offers a satisfying build experience for a fair price. However, the proportion issues — especially the headlights — and the heavy reliance on stickers make the final result feel less refined than it could have been. That said, I still enjoyed the set. It's a good pickup for fans of the brand, the car model, or collectors of the line — but it's not one of the strongest entries in the theme.
