About
Based on the YouTube series NINJAGO Monstrosity, the set also includes an exclusive poster of the model. The internal frame uses click joints for the legs and flexible segments for the tail, delivering solid poseability without sacrificing stability. The head has generous range, the jaw opens and closes naturally, and the horns and crests create an aggressive silhouette. The back is clad with layered plates to mimic scales, with translucent touches to suggest elemental energy. For play, the dragon holds up to “flights” around the house, for display it stands firm thanks to its wide rear feet. Points to note, the underside can reveal some structure when viewed from below, and the flexible tail benefits from small adjustments so it does not droop. Overall, it is a convincing dragon for the price bracket, enjoyable to build and to display.
Minifigure review
Master Wu is exclusive and looks superb, styled to match this wave’s ninjas and clearly battle ready. The dual-moulded shoulder armour and mask are finely detailed, and the white eyes on the dragon-shaped pauldron look great.
Box design
The box follows the landscape format of NINJAGO Legends, with front art of the dragon in flight and ninjas in action, and the back showing features and close-ups of the head, wings, and tail. The footprint is shelf friendly and the internal packaging protects the longer elements.
Instruction manual
Clear manual with numbered bags. The dragon builds in modules, head, torso, legs, tail, making it easy to pause and resume. The LEGO Builder digital version helps with zoom and rotation when closing the torso “shell” and aligning the tail segments.
Stickers
A moderate sticker sheet, mainly for decorative scene panels. Most placements are on flat or gently sloped surfaces, so with tweezers and patience the finish is clean.
