About
For the scale, the DeLorean’s silhouette is captured very well, especially the rear with the vent stacks, Flux Capacitor, and time circuits visible inside. The Speed Champions chassis gives it sturdiness, great for swooshing, and there’s room to seat one minifigure in the cockpit. Switching versions takes just 3 steps, simple and effective for photos and play. The front is inevitably compact at 8 studs, but the model makes up for it with instant readability, a clean build, and a surprising number of printed elements for the line.
Minifigure review
You get two minifigures, Marty and Doc, in their classic trilogy looks. Prints are crisp and both fit in the cockpit, making it easy to stage scenes without other sets. At this price point, having the two leads adds real value.
Box design
Typical Speed Champions presentation, dark backdrop with the car front and centre and Back to the Future branding. The back shows the two configurations and interior highlights. Inside are numbered paper bags and the booklet, with adequate protection for panels and clear parts.
Instruction manual
Clear booklet with short steps and logical sub-assemblies. The step-88 page gets a special callout, a direct nod to the film, since the DeLorean must reach 88 miles per hour for temporal displacement, triggered by the Flux Capacitor.
Stickers
The sticker sheet is small by theme standards, with many details printed, reducing tweezer work and improving long-term display durability. The remaining stickers focus on license plates and small panel accents, mostly placed on flat tiles and slopes.
So…

As a licensed Speed Champions entry, 77256 nails the essentials, two versions in one box, two lead characters, and a model that displays well without sacrificing play value. If you want a compact DeLorean that photographs nicely and swaps between films in seconds, it’s an easy recommendation, even better if you catch it on sale.
