About the
set
Spread over six numbered bags, the build takes a relaxed 90 minutes and feels closer to constructing a chunky character sculpture than a traditional Speed Champions car. A Technic spine gives the figure strength, after which System bricks flesh out the Octan-branded torso, articulated arms and legs, and a bright-red helmet that lifts off to reveal a tiny brick-built Easter-egg “brain.” Finished, the driver is fully posable: the head rotates, shoulders swing on click joints and the hips and knees hinge just enough for a seated pose. The saturated papaya-green-white palette pops on a shelf, though the blocky visor-less helmet profile divides opinion and the hollow studs in the soles are unavoidable at this scale. Overall it’s a cheerful, nostalgia-soaked desk piece that pairs neatly with any LEGO race car display.
Box design
The upright, tab-sealed box swaps the 18+ black scheme for a light-grey chequer-flag backdrop and a vertical yellow brick mosaic down the left edge. A life-size render of the driver dominates the front, while the rear highlights articulation, the hidden Easter egg and a side-by-side with a standard minifigure for scale. The layout is bright, toyetic and instantly readable on a retail peg.
Instruction manual
A stapled 100-page booklet follows the 2025 evergreen style: light-grey background, crisp colour call-outs and large part outlines. The opening spread gives a short history of the Octan brand and a designer note from Leonard Bahro; a QR code links to the 3-D steps in the LEGO Builder app. No stickers appear—every Octan logo is printed—so the flow remains uninterrupted from bag 1 to bag 6.
So…

A fun, affordable statement piece that celebrates LEGO racing heritage in supersized form—perfect for Octan fans and anyone who wants a posable mascot next to their collection of brick-built speed machines.
