Experience
Located in Lourinhã, right next to Dino Parque, Brickopolis is the largest private LEGO exhibition in Portugal and one of the biggest in Europe. With over 700 m² of indoor space and around 5 million bricks, it’s a true paradise for LEGO fans of all ages. The main highlight is the world’s largest LEGO diorama, officially certified by the Guinness World Records, covering more than 70 m² of interconnected builds. The ever-moving LEGO city features iconic Portuguese landmarks, motorized vehicles, working trains, and hundreds of minifigures bringing everything to life.
The exhibition includes several themed areas, such as a vibrant LEGO city, detailed dioramas of Star Wars, pirates, and the Wild West, and impressive recreations of monuments like the Taj Mahal and the 25 de Abril Bridge. There’s also an interactive PlayZone where both kids and adults can build freely, join challenges, and race LEGO cars. The visit ends at a small shop with both new and classic LEGO sets — though there’s definitely room for more exclusive items.
I visited Brickopolis last year and was absolutely blown away. It’s a MASSIVE LEGO exhibition — no exaggeration. What really impressed me were the themed dioramas — Star Wars, cowboys, space — but the true showstopper is the Guinness-certified world’s largest LEGO diorama. It’s a city in constant motion, packed with insanely detailed builds: from traditional Portuguese houses to spaceships flying overhead. The whole thing is lit up with dozens of lights, which makes the entire scene feel even more alive and magical.
There are also plenty of classic and recent sets on display — a treat for nostalgic fans or anyone who wants a closer look at some rare builds. The PlayZone is top-notch too — and yes, adults can build as well! At the end of the exhibition, there’s a small shop where I was hoping to find something more exclusive. A custom Brickopolis minifigure, maybe with a space-themed shirt, would’ve been the perfect souvenir.
Still, it’s absolutely worth the visit — whether you’re looking for inspiration, content to film, or just a few hours to feel like a kid again.
