Inside, themed zones still leap from pop-culture to world-heritage landmarks, but nothing prepares you for the welcome: towering mosaics of iconic movie posters built entirely from LEGO tiles. Right after that, a colossal Great Wall of China snakes along much of the hall—an immediate reminder that “giant” is meant literally here.

One of the first dioramas past the Leaning Tower of Pisa is a scale slice of Hogwarts, complete with turrets and stained-glass detailing. Nearby stand full-size sculptures of a pool table, foosball figures and a chess set big enough to play on foot. Multiple city scenes sprawl across entire platforms: airports, bridges, construction sites and a nighttime New York with the Twin Towers lit up against the skyline.

Several builds are interactive. Press a button and Anakin Skywalker’s podracer lights up, revs its engines and races around the track; elsewhere a Ferris wheel turns and LEGO trains glide through miniature suburbs. The exhibition even charts the evolution of popular music, showcases a history of Ford cars, displays busts from cult films like E.T., and—just because it can—a bikini made of bricks.

There’s a dedicated play area where kids (and not-so-kids) can test their own building skills. Add it all up and the show becomes more than a static gallery; it’s a hands-on celebration of imagination that anyone can enjoy, from casual visitors to hardcore AFOLs.
