LEGO House, located in Billund — the city where it all began — is much more than a museum or exhibition. It’s the “Home of the Brick,” an interactive space with over 25 million LEGO bricks, designed to celebrate creativity, imagination, and the brand’s rich history. The building itself, designed by the award-winning architecture firm BIG, looks like a giant LEGO creation.

Inside, you'll find four Experience Zones (Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow), each focused on developing different skills: creativity, logic, collaboration, and emotional expression. There's also the breathtaking Tree of Creativity, built from over 6 million bricks, the LEGO Vault showcasing the complete history of the brand, and the Masterpiece Gallery, filled with stunning MOCs from LEGO designers around the world.

Included with your ticket are custom LEGO pieces made on-site and a personalized LEGO House card with your name — because at LEGO House, everyone is a VIP guest. And of course, the store features exclusive sets you can only get there.

This year — 2025 — marked my first time in Denmark, and of course, I went straight to the heart of LEGO: the LEGO House, together with my wife. What an incredible experience. Whether you're a LEGO fan or not, a kid or an adult, this place completely pulls you in.

One of the highlights for me was the Tree of Creativity — a massive structure made of over 6 million bricks. Each branch tells a different story, with its own mini world or city built into it. It’s not just impressive in scale, it’s full of meaning and imagination — a real tribute to what LEGO is all about. I was amazed by the three giant dioramas they have on display. The entire area is dimmed to simulate nightfall, and all the buildings and scenes light up, creating this magical, immersive atmosphere. It feels like walking through three living LEGO worlds after dark — absolutely breathtaking. I was also blown away by the MOCs from designers around the world, the interactive zones that let you unleash your creativity, and the legendary LEGO Vault, where we could see the entire history of the brand — from the very first set ever made all the way to today. A journey through time, brick by brick.

Everyone working at LEGO House was incredibly friendly and helpful — honestly, they made the experience even better. You can tell they’re passionate about what they do, and they genuinely want visitors to have a great time.

I also loved the little extras included with the ticket: LEGO pieces made on the spot, and a personalized LEGO House card with my name on it. Such a thoughtful touch.

Of course, I couldn’t leave without visiting the store and picking up the LEGO House exclusive set: Captain Redbeard — my favorite, since I’m a huge fan of pirates. And to top it all off, we had lunch at the iconic Mini Chef, where you order your meal using LEGO bricks, and it’s served by robots. Yes, it’s as fun as it sounds.

It was more than just a visit — it was a celebration of everything LEGO stands for. And yes, I already want to go back.
